Inspection Procedure

HINT:

The AFS OFF switch uses the multiplex communication system. First make sure that the multiplex communication system is functioning normally before performing troubleshooting on the AFS OFF switch.

1. READ VALUE OF INTELLIGENT TESTER (AFS OFF SWITCH) 
   1. Connect the intelligent tester to (with CAN VIM) the DLC3.
   2. Turn the power switch ON (IG) and turn the intelligent tester main switch ON.
   3. Select the items below in the DATA LIST, and read the displays on the intelligent tester.

      OK: The display is as specified in the normal condition. 

   NG: REPLACE INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY 

   OK: GO TO Next Step 

2. READ VALUE OF INTELLIGENT TESTER (AFS OFF SWITCH) 
   1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
   2. Turn the power switch ON (IG) and turn the intelligent tester main switch ON.
   3. Select the items below in the DATA LIST, and read the displays on the intelligent tester.

   NG: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

   OK: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
