July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT FUSE (AM2, MPX-B1 IG2, IG2 MAIN, D/C CUT, IGN) 
    1. Remove the MPX-B1 and IG2 fuses from the passenger side J/B.
    2. Remove the AM2 M-fuse, D/C CUT and IG2 MAIN fuses from the engine room No. 1 R/B.
    3. Remove the IGN fuse from the engine room No. 2 R/B.
    4. Measure the resistance of the fuse.

      Standard: Below 1 Ω 

    NG: REPLACE FUSE 

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  2. INSPECT RELAY (Marking: IG2) 
    1. Remove the IG2 relay from the engine room No. 1 R/B.
    2. Measure the resistance of the relay.

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      3 - 5 10 kΩ or higher
      3 - 5 Below 1 Ω (when battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2)

    NG: REPLACE RELAY 

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TRANSPONDER KEY ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the T13 ECU connector.
    2. Measure the resistance and voltage of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      T13-1 (CPUB) - Body ground Always 10 to 14 V
      T13-2 (IG2) - Body ground Ignition switch OFF 0 V
      T13-2 (IG2) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10 to 14 V
      T13-14 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK: REPLACE TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSY
