Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor: Removal

- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
- DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT ( ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
- REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL ( 2 )
- REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH ( 3 )
- REMOVE V-BANK COVER ( 6 )
- REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET ( 6 )
- REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE ( 8 )
- REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR
- Disconnect the sensor connector.
- Remove the sensor.
- Remove the gasket from the sensor.
