How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
HINT:
- Use this procedure to troubleshoot the front power seat control system with memory function.
- The hand-held tester should be used in steps 3 and 5.

- CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS CHECK AND PROBLEM SYMPTOM CHECK (See CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS CHECK )
- CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF LARGE-SCALE MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (BEAN)
- Use the hand-held tester to check for normal function of the body multiplex communication system.
- (ECU unconnected, communication line malfunction) Without code outputs, proceed to A.
- (ECU unconnected, communication line malfunction) With code outputs, proceed to B.
- B: Go to MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )
- A: Go to next step
- Use the hand-held tester to check for normal function of the body multiplex communication system.
- PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE

- If the fault is not listed on the problem symptoms table, proceed to A.
- If the fault is listed on the problem symptoms table, proceed to B.
- B: Go to step 6
