Inspection Procedure

HINT:
In case of using the hand-held tester, start the inspection step 1 and in case of not using the hand-held tester, start from step 2.
- READ VALUE OF HAND-HELD TESTER
- Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Check the compressor using DATA LIST.
- OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
- NG: GO TO NEXT STEP
- INSPECT MAGNET-CLUTCH RELAY
- Remove the magnet clutch relay from engine room R/B.
- Check the continuity between each pair of terminal of magnet clutch relay as shown in MAGNET CLUTCH RELAY

Standard:
MAGNET CLUTCH RELAYTerminal No. Specified condition 3 - 5 No continuity 3 - 5 Less than 1 Ω (When battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2) 1 - 2 Continuity
- NG: REPLACE MAGNET-CLUTCH RELAY
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- INSPECT COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSY
- Disconnect the connector from the magnet clutch assy.
- Connect the positive (+) lead to terminal 1 and negative (-) lead to terminal body ground, then check that the magnetic clutch assy is engaged.
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSY
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ACMG - BODY GROUND)

- Check for an open or short circuit in harness and connector between terminal ACMG of ECM and body ground (See ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE ).
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- OK: REPLACE ECM
