Inspection Procedure

- Check Display (GPS Mark Display)
- Preparation for the pre-check.
- Move the vehicle in the place with a fine view to GPS mark is displayed.
- Check the screen display.
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Turn the power switch of the radio receiver assembly ON to display the map.
Standard: "GPS" mark is appeared
- NG: Go To Troubleshoot For "GPS Mark Does Not Appear"
- OK: Go To Next Step
- Preparation for the pre-check.
- Check When This Happens
- Check the abnormal condition.
- Check the point in which the trouble occurs.
Standard:
CHECK ABNORMAL CONDITIONItem Condition A The trouble occur in the not specific area B The trouble occur in the specific area
NOTE: At the place difficult specify the vehicle position (a by-pass road, a high-level road, a loop road, or several-storied car park, etc.), the vehicle position may be of the point due to the wrong matching.- A: Go To Next Step
- B: Normal (Recheck The Operation)
- Check the abnormal condition.
- Check Display (Automatic Calibration)
- Check the screen display.
- Check the color of "Automatic calibration" switch at the distance correction screen.
Standard: Green ("Automatic Calibration" Switch)
- OK: Normal (Recheck The Operation), Observe Until The Automatic Calibration Finishes (Runs At More Than 10km/h)
- NG: Go To Next Step
- Check the screen display.
- Navigation Check Mode (Vehicle Sensors)
- Perform vehicle signal check of navigation check mode.
- Start up the diagnosis system and read result of SPD signal in vehicle sensors mode.
Standard: Input signal is normal (SPD)
- NG: Go to step 6
- OK: Go To Next Step
- Perform vehicle signal check of navigation check mode.
- Check And Operate Again
- NG: Check And Replace Navigation ECU
- Inspect Navigation ECU (SPD, GND)
- Remove the navigation ECU with connectors still connected.
- Check voltage.
- Shift the shift lever to neutral.
- Jack up one of the front wheel.
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Measure voltage between terminals SPD and GND of navigation ECU when the front wheel are turned slowly.
Voltage is generated intermittently.
- OK: Check And Replace Navigation ECU
- NG: Repair Or Replace Harness Or Connector
