Section 247 (Wireless Door Lock Control System (W/O Smart Key System) - Diagnosis): Inspection: Replacement

- REMOVE TRANSMITTER SUB-ASSY MODULE SET DOOR CONTROL NOTE: Take extra care when handing these precision electronic components.
HINT:
The installation procedure is the removal procedure reverse order.

- Using a screwdriver, remove the screw.
- Push the cover with your finger as shown in the illustration so a gap appears, then, pry out the cover using that gap.
NOTE: Do not forcibly pry up the cover. - REMOVE TRANSMITTER BATTERY
- Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 screws and cover.
- Remove the transmitter battery (lithium battery).
NOTE:- Do not push the terminals with your finger.
- Do not forcibly pry up the battery (lithium battery). The terminals may become damaged.
- Do not touch the battery with wet hands. Water may cause rust.
- Do not touch or move any components inside to transmitter, as it may cease to work.
- INSTALL TRANSMITTER BATTERY
- Install a new battery (lithium battery) with the positive (+) side up, as shown in the illustration.NOTE:
- Be sure that the positive side and the negative side of the transmitter battery are matched up correctly.
- Be careful not to bend the transmitter battery electrode during insertion.
- Keep the transmitter case interior free of dust and oil.
- Check that O-ring is not distorted or slipped off, and install the cover.
- Using a screwdriver, tighten the 2 screws.
NOTE: If the screws are loose, it may cause faulty contact between the battery (lithium battery) and the terminals. - Install a new battery (lithium battery) with the positive (+) side up, as shown in the illustration.
