EGR Temperature Sensor: Service and Repair

INSPECTION

1. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY





2. REMOVE EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR





3. INSPECT EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR
Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.

Resistance:
64-97 K ohms at 50° C (122° F)
11-16 K ohms at 100° C (212° F)
2-4 K ohms at 150° C (302° F)
If the resistance is not as specified, replace the sensor.

4. REINSTALL EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR
5. REINSTALL THROTTLE BODY
