Actuator Motor Check

  1. Disconnect actuator motor. Using jumper wires, connect positive lead to actuator terminal No. 5 and negative lead to terminal No. 4. Ensure safety magnetic clutch is on.
  2. With battery voltage applied to actuator terminals No. 6 and 7, ensure actuator control plate moves smoothly. See Figure. With actuator in motion, ensure that motor is stopped by limit switches when control plate is fully opened or closed. If actuator tests as indicated, go to WIRING HARNESS CHECK. If actuator does not operate correctly, replace actuator.
