Power Steering ECU

- Raise and support vehicle. Remove instrument panel undercover. DO NOT disconnect ECU connector. Start engine. Using DVOM, measure voltage between ECU harness connector terminals SOL (+) and SOL (-) with engine idling. See Figure. DVOM should indicate .32-.44 volt.
- Place transmission in gear. Increase indicated vehicle speed to 37 MPH. DVOM should now indicate .14-.40 volt. If voltage is not as specified, replace ECU.
CAUTION:
To avoid damage to solenoid, DO NOT apply voltage for more than 30 seconds.
