DTC P18A5-62: Motion/Position Sensor A Signal Circuit - Signal compare failure: Action

Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, perform the Transfer Case Healthcheck Application. The application will subsequently test the system and report a DTC if a fault persists
If the fault persists, refer to the appropriate system wiring diagram and check the signal circuit between the high/low range position sensor and the transfer case control module for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance. Repair circuit as required, clear DTC and retest
Start the engine and, using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, read the DTCs. If the fault persists, install and configure a new high/low range position sensor. Refer to the High/Low Range Position Sensor Replacement Application instructions in the relevant Diagnosis and Testing Section For additional information, refer to: TRANSFER CASE
