CONDITION SUMMARY

Situation:  One or more of the following issues may be evident:

  1. No Instrument Cluster (IC) display when the ignition is switched 'ON'; IC display returns after a period of 5 seconds;
  2. Infotainment source selection when playing files via the USB port causes IC display to continuously reset;
  3. CD information displayed in the IC does not match the Touch Screen (TS) display;
  4. Auto Speed Limiter warning contains inaccurate French translations.

Cause:  These issues may be caused by:

  1. Software handling of HMI inputs;
  2. Characters sent from Infotainment to be displayed on the IC are not in the IC character set and not handled robustly;
  3. Incorrect input signals defined by the Infotainment system owner to be used by the IC;
  4. Master IC translations list incorrect.

Action:  Should a customer express any of these concerns, follow the Service Instruction outlined below.
