July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Track Rod: Removal

  1. Remove steering rack. See POWER STEERING RACK .
  2. Remove Torx bolt securing track rod to PAS rack. Discard Torx bolt. See Figure.
  3. Remove track rod and spacer.
    CAUTION: Note orientation of spacers before dismantling.
  4. Hold track rod securely and loosen pinch bolt in track rod end. See Fig 1.
    NOTE: DO NOT carry out further dismantling if component is removed for access only.

  5. Remove ball joint, note the number of turns for refit.
  6. Remove pinch bolt from track rod.
  7. Remove turnbuckle and note the number of turns for refit.
    NOTE: Thread is left handed.
