Test 3

TEST 3: AMPLIFIER SWITCHING





- Connect the voltmeter between battery positive (+ve) terminal and H.T. coil negative (-ve) terminal, the voltmeter should register 0 volts.
- Switch the ignition ON, the voltmeter should still register 0 volts.
- Crank the engine, the voltmeter reading should increase when cranking, in which case proceed to Test 5. Test 5
- If there is no increase in voltage during cranking proceed to Test 4. Test 4
