Inspection Procedure
- Check the fuel line
- Check following item at high pressure fuel line visually.
- Connector connection state.
- Damage/connection state for vacuum hoses connected to fuel line.
- Bent/pressed/twisted fuel line or fuel leakage.
- Check following item at high pressure fuel line visually.
- Check fuel pressure
- Ignition "OFF". Disconnect fuel pump fuse in Junction Box.
- Start the engine and wait until it stalls.
- Ignition "OFF". Connect fuel pump fuse.
- Install the fuel pressure gauge to the delivery pipe using the fuel pressure gauge adaptor.
- Activate the fuel pump, check for fuel leaks from the pressure gauge or fuel system.
- Measure the fuel pressure at idle.
- Specification: Over 290 kPa (2.9 bar, 2.95 kgf/cm2 )
Good
- Go to "WIRING INSPECTION " procedure.
No Good
- Repair as necessary and Go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
