Repair Procedures: Removal

Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
Remove the drive belt.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "DRIVE BELT ")
Disconnect the alternator connector (A) and the cable (B) from alternator "B" terminal.
Tightening torque :

9.8 - 11.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 Ib-ft)

Remove the alternator after loosening the mounting bolts (A, B).
Tightening torque
1. 29.4 - 41.2 N.m (3.0 - 4.2 kgf.m, 21.7 - 30.4 Ib-ft)
2. 26.4 - 37.3 N.m (2.7 - 3.8 kgf.m, 19.5 - 27.5 Ib-ft)
