Repair Procedures: Replacement

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2019 Kia Stinger. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Be careful as the seat back may touch peripheral components such as the sunvisor if it is folded forward with its headrest and seat adjusted high and the seat moved forward.
  1. After loosening the mounting bolts, remove the front seat assembly.

    Tightening torque: 

    49.0 - 63.7 N.m (5..0 - 6.5 Kgf.m, 36.2 - 47.0 lb.ft)

  2. Disconnect the main connector (A), side airbag connector (B), and front seat belt buckle connector (C).

  3. Install in the reverse order of removal.

    Information 

    SEAT MOUNTING BOLT INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

    • Set the seat into its rearmost position. Check that each slide is locked, and then tighten the front mounting bolt temporarily.
    • Set the seat into its foremost position. Check that each slide is locked, and then tighten the rear mounting bolt completely.
    • Set the seat into its rearmost position. Tighten the front mounting bolt completely.
    • Check that the seat operates to and fro smoothy and the locking portion locks properly.
