Repair Procedures: Replacement
CAUTION:
Put on gloves to protect your hands.
Information
- Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces without marring the surface.
- Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
- Remove the front seat assembly.
(Refer to Front Seat - " FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY ")
- Remove the front seat forward extension cover (A).
- Remove the front seat outer shield cover (A) by using a remover.NOTE: Be careful not to damage the mounting bracket and hook when removing the cover.
- Disconnect the front seat power switch connector (A).
- Remove the front seat shield inner cover (A) after loosening the mounting screw.
- Pull up the front seat headrest (A).
- Remove the front seat back board lower protector (A).
- Remove the front seat back board (A).
Information
- Remove it in the direction of the arrow by holding both sides of the lower back board by hands.
- Be careful not to damage the lock pins.
- Remove the front seat air ventilation duct (A) after loosening the mounting screw.
- Disconnect the airbag connector (A) and heater connector (B).
- Pull out and remove the headrest guides (A) after pinching both sides of the lower part of the guides.
- Pull out the protector (A) from the front seat back frame.
- Remove the front seat back cover (A) from the front seat back frame.
- Remove the front seat back covering (C) from the front the seat back frame after removing the velcro tape (A) and hog-ring clips (B).CAUTION: Be careful not to separate the wire insert from inside the sponge.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
Information
- Make sure that the connectors are connected completely.
- Replace any damaged clips (or pin - type retainers).
- To prevent wrinkles, make sure that the cover (B) is stretched evenly before connecting the hog - ring clips (A).
- Replace the hog-ring clips with new ones using special tool (C) (09880 - 4F000).
