Circuit Inspection

APS1 Circuit Inspection
Inspection Condition (+) Probe (-) Probe Specification
Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect APS connector.
  3. Ignition "ON".
 APS harness connector 4 (Supply) Chassis ground - Approx. 5V
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect APS connector.
 APS harness connector 2 (Ground) Chassis ground - Below 1Ω
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect APS connector.
  3. Ignition "ON".
 A APS harness connector 4 (Supply) Chassis ground - Approx. 5V
B APS harness connector 4 (Supply) APS harness connector 2 (Ground) Approx. 5V
C Difference in (A) and (B) is less than 200mV
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect APS and ECM/PCM connector.
 APS harness connector 3 (Signal) ECM/PCM harness connector 14 (Signal) Below 1Ω
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect APS and connector.
 APS harness connector 3 (Signal) Chassis ground - ∞ (Infinity)Ω
APS2 Circuit Inspection
Inspection Condition (+) Probe (-) Probe Specification
Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect APS connector.
  3. Ignition "ON".
 APS harness connector 5 (Supply) Chassis ground - Approx. 5V
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect APS connector.
 APS harness connector 1 (Ground) Chassis ground - Below 1Ω
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect APS connector.
  3. Ignition "ON".
 A APS harness connector 5 (Supply) Chassis ground - Approx. 5V
B APS harness connector 5 (Supply) APS harness connector 1 (Ground) Approx. 5V
C Difference in (A) and (B) is less than 200mV
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect APS and ECM/PCM connector.
 APS harness connector 6 (Signal) ECM/PCM harness connector 77 (Signal) Below 1Ω
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect APS and connector.
 APS harness connector 6 (Signal) Chassis ground - ∞ (Infinity)Ω

Good
