Repair Procedure: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Move the shift lever to "N" range.
  2. Remove the air duct and the air cleaner assembly.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")

  3. Remove the battery and battery tray.

    (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY ")

  4. Loosen the nut (A) and then remove the shift cable (B) from the bracket (c).

    Tightening Torque: 

    7.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (0.8 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 ~ 8.7 lb-ft)

  5. Remove the knob & boots (A) by pulling in the direction of arrow after removing the boots from the console upper cover.

  6. Remove the floor console assembly.

    (Refer to CONSOLE REMOVAL

  7. Remove the shift cable (A) from the shift lever.

  8. Remove the cable retainer (A) by loosening the nuts.

    Tightening Torque: 

    7.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (0.8 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 ~ 8.7 lb-ft)

  9. Remove the shift cable by pulling it inward.
