DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Rationality check
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Air leak in intake or exhaust system
  3. Defected fuel system
  4. Defected upstream O2 sensor
  5. Defected ECM
General Enable Conditions
  • Downstream O2 sensor voltage before fuel cut is higher than 0.15V
  • Fuel cut "OFF"
  • Exhaust gas temperature around upstream O2 sensor is higher than 752°F (400°C)
  • Exhaust gas mass flow is higher than 22 kg/h
  • Battery voltage is higher than 10.7V
  • Engine speed is at between 1200 RPM and 3520 RPM.
Threshold Value Case1
  • Response time is over 5.0 sec.

(Duration of downstream O2 sensor voltage from above 0.55V to 0.15V during fuel cut off)

Case2
  • Transient time is over 0.35 sec.

(Duration of downstream O2 sensor voltage from 0.4V to 0.2V during fuel cut OFF)

Diagnostic Time
  • -
Mil ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
