Signal Circuit Inspection

■ Check Open In Harness 

1. IG "OFF" and disconnect battery sensor and ECM/PCM connector.
2. Check resistance between LIN terminal of battery sensor harness Connector and ECM/PCM harness connector.

   Specification:  Below 1.0Ω

3. Is the measured resistance within specification?

   YES 

   • Go to "Check short to battery in harness" as follows.

   NO 

   • Repair open in harnesses and go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair ".

■ Check Short To Battery In Harness 

1. IG "OFF" and disconnect battery sensor and ECM/PCM connector.
2. IG "ON"
3. Measure the voltage between LIN terminal of battery sensor harness connector and chassis ground.

   Specification:  Approx. 0V

4. Is the measured voltage within specification?

   YES 

   • Go to "Check short to ground in harness" as follows.

   NO 

   • Repair short to battery in harnesses and go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair ".

■ Check Short To Ground In Harness 

1. IG "OFF" and disconnect battery sensor and ECM/PCM connector.
2. Check resistance between LIN terminal of battery sensor harness Connector and chassis ground.

   Specification:  Infinity

3. Is the measured resistance within specification?

   YES 

   • Go to "Componect Inspection" as follows.

   NO 

   • Repair short to ground in harnesses and go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair ".
