Monitor Scan Tool Data
- Ignition "OFF", connect scan tool.
- Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF", select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" mode.
- Monitor diagnostic trouble code and present of trouble code.
- Using a scan tool, clear the DTC.
- Is DTC present problem?
YES
- It's may previous problem, so you should try to erase the DTC and check again.
- There is a possibility that the fault is not in the permanent problem so you should check the PPD(= Occupant Sensor) system such as sensor board or PPD(= Occupant Sensor) interface failure and poor connection of connector and harness between PPD(= Occupant Sensor) system and SRSCM.
NO
- Intermittent failure, system is OK at this moment. Do not change PPD (= Occupant Sensor) system.
- Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the connector/wiring harness or was repaired and SRSCM memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
