Component Inspection

Check IG Failure Sensor 

  1. IG KEY: ON, Engine: ON
  2. Connect IG failure sensor connector B-12 and ECM connector.
  3. Check IG failure sensor's signal on scantool.
    1. Specification: Approx. 0~10V (At idle state)
  4. Is IG failure sensor normal?

    YES

    1. IG failure sensor is OK.
    2. Possibility of defective ECM. Temporarily test with a new ECM and check for proper operation.

      If problem is corrected, replace ECM and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO

    1. Test with a new IG failure sensor and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace it.

      And go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
