Component Inspection

Check Idle Switch 

1. IG KEY: OFF, Engine: OFF
2. Disconnect TPS connector.
3. Check resistance change for the following case between terminals 2 and 4 of the TPS connector.
   1. Specification:
      1. Throttle valve fully closed: below 1Ω
      2. Throttle valve open a little: infinite

4. Is the idle switch normal?

   YES

   1. Idle switch is OK.
   2. Possibility of defective ECM. Temporarily test with a new ECM and check for proper operation.

   If problem is corrected, replace ECM and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

   NO

   1. Repair or replace it. Then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
