When Monitored

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2021 Jeep Compass. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

RDM SYSTEM ENABLING CONDITIONS AND FAULT SETTING CRITERIA:

The DTCM battery supply voltage, internal actuator voltage and internal ECU faults have these shared Monitoring Conditions:

FAULT SETTING CRITERIA
(C2006-16/17) - Battery Voltage Circuit Low/High Faults
  • Voltage Low - The DTCM detects that the Battery voltage is below 7.8 volts with engine off or 8.3 volts with engine running.
  • Voltage High - The DTCM detects that the Battery voltage is above 17.2 volts.
(C2010-16/17) - Battery Voltage Circuit 2 Low/High Faults
  • Voltage Low - The DTCM detects that the Battery voltage is below 7.8 volts with engine off or 8.3 volts with engine running.
  • Voltage High - The DTCM detects that the Battery voltage is above 17.2 volts.
(C2100-04, C2120-04) - Internal Motor 1/Motor 2 actuator supply voltage Faults  The DTCM detects that motor 1 or motor 2 internal actuator supply voltage is below 6 volts and either the engine is running or the vehicle is moving.
(C2020-01/42/47/48, C2030-42) - DTCM Internal Faults  The DTCM detects an unexpected reset failure.
(C2020-94) - DTCM unexpected operation Fault  The DTCM detects an internal hardware, software, or memory function failure.
(C2400-55) - Configuration Mismatch Fault  The DTCM detects that the BCM proxi has not been detected.
POSSIBLE CAUSES - MOTOR CONTROL
OPEN FUSE IN PDC (BATTERY SUPPLY LOW FAULTS)
FAULTY BATTERY (BATTERY SUPPLY FAULTS)
PROXI CONFIGURATION NOT PROGRAMMED
DTCM HARNESS ISSUES
CHARGING SYSTEM ISSUES (BATTERY SUPPLY LOW/HIGH FAULTS)
FAULTY DRIVETRAIN CONTROL MODULE (DTCM)
