Description And Operation: 1.4L: Operation

The air temperature sensor consists of an NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) thermistor.
The resistance offered by the sensor decreases as the temperature increases.
The control unit input circuit divides the 5 V reference voltage between the sensor resistance and a fixed reference value; in this way it achieves a voltage proportional to the resistance, and thus to the temperature.
