Module, Ultrasonic And Anti-Tilt: Installation

  1. Position the Ultrasonic and Antitilt Module (UAM) (2) and both transducers (3) to the inside surface of the overhead console trim cover (1).
  2. Latch the UAM into the mounting provisions integral to the inside surface of the console trim cover.
  3. Carefully insert and rotate each of the two UAM transducers about 30 degrees clockwise into the rearward-facing receptacles on each side of the console trim cover inside surface.
  4. Install the overhead console onto the headliner. Refer to CONSOLE, OVERHEAD, FRONT, INSTALLATION .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
NOTE:

If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to determine if alignment of the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU is needed. If PROXI alignment is needed, follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under the Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
