Engine Block: FLEXPLATE: Removal

  1. Remove the transmission. Refer to appropriate service information.
  2. Using the sequence shown in the illustration, remove the flexplate retaining bolts.
    CAUTION:

    Do not use an impact socket or a thick walled socket when removing or installing the flexplate retaining bolts, damage to the crankshaft, internal engine or the transmission may occur.

  3. Remove the flexplate.
