2.0L/2.2L Diesel

  1. Install the generator and tighten the bolts (2 and 3) to 70 N.m (52 ft. lbs.).
  2. Tighten the bracket bolt (1) to 70 N.m (52 ft. lbs.).

  3. Connect the generator field connector (1) and position the B+ cable (3) to the generator stud.
  4. Install the B+ nut (2). and tighten the nut to 10 N.m (89 in. lbs.).

  5. Install the serpentine belt (1). Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, INSTALLATION .
  6. Install the oil filter with cooler housing assembly. Refer to HOUSING, OIL FILTER, INSTALLATION .
  7. Install the Power Transfer Unit (PTU). Refer to INSTALLATION .

  8. Install the belly pan (2) and securely tighten the bolts (3).
  9. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector to the negative battery cable.
