OVERVIEW

This bulletin involves updating and verifying the service alignment measurement specifications of service write-up area special equipment is accurate for the affected vehicles.

DISCUSSION

Service measurement check specifications on all quick assessment alignment equipment must be updated to reflect the current specifications identified in service information. Refer to the detailed service procedures available in DealerCONNECT>TechCONNECT>Service Info>02 - Front Suspension>Standard Procedure>Wheel Alignment.

If required, contact your alignment equipment manufacturer for measurement specification update instructions and user procedures.

NOTE: Failure to update equipment specifications within five business days of the service bulletin published date will result in warranty claim rejection.

Measurement Specification Clarification: 

There are two different sets of alignment specifications in service. Specifications include:

Service Measurement Check Specifications:  These specifications are used when the vehicle alignment is being checked (i.e. not being adjusted). Service Measurement Check Specifications account for variation from measurement tools and vehicle settling.

Set-To Specifications:  Are used when adjusting suspension components for alignment. Typically used when a suspension component that effects alignment has been serviced.
