REPAIR THE TCM GENERIC SOFTWARE PROBLEM

NOTE:

This Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) sets to inform the technician that the Transmission Control Module (TCM) is programmed with generic software and must be reprogrammed with vehicle specific software.

Verify that the controller updated successfully.
Was the TCM updated correctly?
- Test Completed.
- Perform the TCM PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE. Refer to MODULE, TRANSMISSION CONTROL (TCM), MODULE PROGRAMMING .
- Perform the TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST - 948TE 9HP48 .
