Section 95 (Charging System (Service Information)): Generator: Removal: Removal

Rotate the two retaining clips (3) and remove the air cleaner fresh air duct (2).
Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable at battery.

Evacuate the A/C system. Refer to PLUMBING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
Remove the right front wheel.
Remove the underbody air dam.

Remove the accessory drive splash shield.

Position aside the serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL .
Remove the accessory drive idler pulley.

Remove the A/C compressor. Refer to COMPRESSOR, A/C, REMOVAL .

Loosen the lower mounting bolt.

Unplug field circuit from generator.

Remove the B+ terminal nut and wire.

Remove the upper mounting bolt.
Remove the generator lower mounting bolt.

Slide the generator (1) down and out of vehicle.
