Pedal, Accelerator: Installation

- Position the pedal assembly (1) to the mounting studs.
- Install the three pedal assembly retaining nuts (2, 3) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to FUEL INJECTION, GAS, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect both electrical connectors at the Accelerator Position Sensor (APPS) (2).
- Connect the electrical connector at the accelerator pedal adjuster motor (1).
- Install the steering column opening cover. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, INSTALLATION .
- Connect the negative battery cable.
- If equipped with adjustable pedals, synchronize the accelerator pedal to the brake pedal and then connect the adjuster cable (1) to the accelerator pedal adjuster motor (2). Refer to PEDAL(S), BRAKE AND/OR ACCELERATOR, ADJUSTABLE, INSTALLATION .
