6.1 L Engine

- Position muffler assembly (3) in vehicle.
- Install front exhaust pipe/catalytic converter to muffler flange nuts. Do not tighten at this time.
- Install resonator/tailpipe assembly (1 and 4) to muffler assembly. Do not tighten clamp at this time.
- Make sure the muffler, and resonator/tailpipe assembly is correctly positioned and the properly aligned. The minimum clearance between components is 25 mm (1 inch).
- Tighten flange nuts to 47 N.m (35 ft. lbs.).
- Tighten clap nut to 47 N.m (35 lb. ft.)
- Lower the vehicle.
- Start the engine and inspect for exhaust leaks. Repair exhaust leaks as necessary.
