Service Intervals

Check transmission fluid level every month. Under normal or severe service conditions, drain and refill transmission fluid, change filter, and adjust bands at specified intervals. See TRANSMISSION SERVICE INTERVALS  table. Severe service conditions are conditions such as long periods of engine idling, trailer towing, extreme temperatures, off-highway operation, short trips of less than 10 miles, stop-and-go driving, taxi, police, or delivery service, if equipped and operated with ethanol, or operating in dusty conditions.
