Memory Seat Test 4A - Seat Inoperative From Both Switches

NOTE: Perform MEMORY SEAT TEST 1A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Refer to SEATS - POWER article. After each repair, perform Perform TEST VER-3A  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector. Ensure all connectors are clean and tight.
  1. Disconnect driver's power seat switch. Using external voltmeter, measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 5 (Red wire) on driver's power seat switch connector. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open Red wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
  2. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 1 (Black wire) on driver's power seat switch connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open Black wire.
  3. Connect a jumper wire between terminals No. 1 (Black wire) and 2 (Gray/Light Blue wire) on driver's power seat switch connector. Connect another jumper wire to terminal No. 4 (Gray/White wire) and momentarily touch terminal No. 5 (Red wire). If memory seat module clicks as terminal No. 5 is connected, replace driver's power seat switch. If memory seat module does not click, go to next step.
  4. Disconnect memory seat module "A" connector (Orange). Using external voltmeter, measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 10 (Red wire) on "A" connector. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open Red wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
  5. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 8 (Black wire) on "A" connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace memory seat module. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open Black wire.
