Speed (Cruise) Control Switch
Disconnect negative battery cable. Wait 2 minutes for air bag system capacitor to discharge. Remove both speed control switch assemblies from steering wheel and disconnect connectors. See SPEED (CRUISE) CONTROL SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION . Using an ohmmeter, check resistance at speed control switch terminals No. 1 and 2 (on both switches). See Fig 1. If continuity is not as specified in SPEED CONTROL SWITCH RESISTANCE TABLE , replace defective speed control switch.
