Speed Sensor/Cps (Crankshaft Position Sensor)

Sensor is attached to flywheel housing. Sensor monitors crankshaft angle, then generates input signal to ECU to provide it with this information. ECU converts rate of angle change to RPM, and converts crankshaft angle into piston position. Sensor senses piston position and engine speed by detecting the flywheel teeth as they pass by during engine operation.
