Oxygen Sensor: Service and Repair


1. Disconnect electrical connector from sensor.
2. Remove sensor from exhaust pipe adapter, then clean threads in adapter.
3. Apply suitable anti-seize compound to threads of sensor, ensuring not to get any compound on any other part of sensor.
4. Hand start sensor into adapter, then torque to 20-25 ft.lbs.
5. Reconnect sensor electrical connector. Do not push rubber boot down on sensor body beyond .5 inch from base.
