Tire Pressure Sensor: Removal

  1. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
    2. CAUTION: Avoid tire/tool contact with the valve while dismounting tire.
  2. Remove tire from wheel. The tire bead should start to be broken about 90 degrees clockwise from the valve side of the wheel. Continue breaking the bead about 180 degrees clockwise from the starting location (rotate tire counter-clockwise). Manually pull the remainder of the bead from the rim.
    3. CAUTION: Do not push on the tire pressure sensor valve, or valve may be damaged.
  3. Remove the tire pressure sensor. Remove and discard the tire pressure sensor retaining nut, valve core, valve cap, seal and washer.
