Conditions for Setting DTC
- No Throttle Position (TP) sensor, MAF sensor, Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor or Fuel system DTCs are present.
- Engine speed is steady, changing less then 100 RPM.
- Engine speed is between 1000 RPM and 4000 RPM.
- Throttle position is steady, throttle angle changes less than 3 percent.
- Engine Gas Recirculation (EGR flow rate is steady, changing less than 4 percent.
- No change in A/C clutch or power steering pressure switch status.
- Engine coolant temperature is greater than 14°F (-10°C).
- MAP value is steady, changing less than 5 kPa.
- Altitude compensated MAP value is more than high threshold value or less than low threshold value.
- Above conditions are met for longer than one second.
- MAP value must vary for a total of 12.5 seconds over a 25 second period of time that the samples were monitored.
