Test B-1: Abs Warning Light Does Not Illuminate (Key On/Engine Off)

  1. Check METER fuse (15-amp) located in interior fuse block. If fuse is open, replace fuse. After repairs, go to step  5. If fuse is okay, go to next step.
  2. Check ABS warning light. If bulb is open, replace bulb. After repairs, go to step  5. If bulb is okay, go to next step.
  3. Turn ignition off. Disconnect EHCU harness connectors. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between EHCU harness connector terminals No. 6 (Violet/White wire) and No. 7 (Black wire). If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, repair harness and connector as necessary. After repairs, go to step  5.
  4. Check for continuity between chassis ground and EHCU harness connector terminals No. 2 and 7 (Black wires). If continuity is present, harness connection or EHCU is faulty. If continuity is not present, repair harness as necessary. After repairs, go to next step.
  5. Reconnect all components. Ensure all component are properly installed. Verify system operation. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
