  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect negative battery terminal.
    CAUTION:

    Wait for 5 seconds after turning ignition switch OFF.

  3. Remove the glove box assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  4. Disconnect the transfer control unit connector.
  5. Move instrument lower cover to backward. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  6. Remove the transfer control unit.
