WITHOUT ICC: Component Inspection (Shift Lock Unit)
- CHECK SHIFT LOCK SOLENOID
Apply voltage to terminals 6 and 4 of A/T shift selector connector, and check that shift lock unit is activated.
CAUTION: Connect the fuse between the terminals when applying the voltage.Shift lock unit connector Condition Status Terminal + (fuse) - 6 4 - Selector lever in "P" position.
- Apply 12 V direct current between terminals 6 and 4.
Shift lock unit operates Can the lock plate be moved up and down?
YES: INSPECTION END
NO: Replace A/T shift selector assembly. Refer to "2WD: EXPLODED VIEW " (2WD) or "AWD: EXPLODED VIEW " (AWD).
