Diagnosis Procedure

- CHECK VCM GROUND CIRCUIT
- Turn power switch OFF.
- Disconnect VCM harness connector.
- Check the continuity between VCM harness connector and ground.
CONTINUITY REFERENCE CHART+ - Continuity VCM Connector Terminal E61 4 Ground Existed 8 E63 111 112 Is the inspection result normal?
YES: Go to 2.
NO: Repair or replace error-detected parts.
- CHECK ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION (APP) SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT
- Disconnect APP sensor harness connector.
- Check the continuity between APP sensor harness connector terminalsCONTINUITY REFERENCE CHART
APP sensor Continuity Connector + - Terminal E101 3 6 Existed - Also check harness for short to ground and snort to power.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: Go to 3.
NO: Repair or replace error-detected parts.
- CHECK APP SENSOR
Refer to "COMPONENT INSPECTION (ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION SENSOR) ".
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: Check intermittent incident. Refer to "INTERMITTENT INCIDENT ".
NO: Replace Accelerator pedal. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
