DTC P0117 & DTC P0118: ECT Sensor

ECM determines engine coolant temperature based on elapsed time since ignition was turned on, or engine was started. ECM raises engine coolant temperature input based on engine run time. When ignition is first turned on temperature displayed on CONSULT-II should be 104°F (40°C). After 4 minutes, temperature should display as 176°F (80°C).
