July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Component Inspection

  1. Disconnect electric throttle control actuator harness connector. Check resistance between terminals No. 3 and 6. See Fig 1 . Resistance should be about 1-15 ohms at 77°F (25°C). If resistance is to specification, system is okay at this time. If resistance is not to specification, replace electric throttle control actuator and go to next step.
  2. Perform throttle valve closed position learning. See THROTTLE VALVE CLOSED POSITION LEARNING  under PROGRAMMING. Perform idle air volume learning. See IDLE AIR VOLUME LEARNING  under PROGRAMMING.
