DTC Confirmation Test (Using Generic Scan Tool)

NOTE: Use the following test to check overall function of VSS circuit. During this test, DTC may not be confirmed.

Raise drive wheels and support vehicle. Start engine and select MODE 1 with scan tool. VSS reading on scan tool should be able to exceed 6 MPH when rotating wheels in suitable gear position. If operation is as specified, system is okay at this time. If operation is not as specified, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
