Component Inspection
- Connect all harness connectors.
- Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
- Check voltage between ECM terminal No. 51 (mass airflow sensor signal) and ground. See MAF SENSOR VOLTAGE
table.
- If voltage not to specification, perform the following:
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect mass airflow sensor harness connector and reconnect it.
- Perform steps 2
and 3
again.
- If not okay, remove mass airflow sensor from air duct. Check hot film for damage or dust.
- Repair or replace as necessary.
